Why We Relay

I am so excited about finally getting a team together for this year's Relay For Life in Barrie! Cancer unfortunately runs its terrible course through my family. I've lost grandparents that meant the world to me to this disease. When I think about it, every person you pass on the road, coffee shop, mall or elsewhere is, has been or will be affected by cancer. Our team, albeit with a humourous name and intention to have fun raising money, is dedicated to raising as much money as we can in our first year...the first of many. I've set our goal at $2000, but the truth is, $1 is an improvement on last year. If we raise $1 in 2013, 2014 we'll strive for $2.......anything to get the money to where it belongs.
